Dr. James Brennan

James is Head of Department of Life Sciences at the Institute of Technology Sligo and holds Directorships in Reagen Pharma Ltd, formerly; Pharmakinetics Research Ltd and BK Pharma Systems Ltd. He was previously Head of Department of Lifelong Learning and prior to lecturer across a broad range of modules in the Applied and Pharmaceutical Science areas. James has been involved in the development of numerous courses and training initiatives with industry and participates as a consultant to a number of companies in different areas. James was part of a research team which discovered, developed and patented the novel antimicrobial technology A3IS. Prior to working at the Institute of Technology, Sligo, James worked with Saehan Media as Production Manager and Environmental manager. Saehan was the most important producer of video tape globally. He was also Qualified Person and Plant Chemist for the Baxter Healthcare plants in Castlebar and Swinford and prior to that Deputy Director of International R&D as well as Manager of the Analytical Services Department with Stiefel Laboratories (Now Stiefel GSK). He was involved in the development of numerous products which are currently on the market for Stiefel GSK.
